How long have you worked for Home1st?

What did you want to be when you “grow up”?
This is a hard question to answer. As my circumstances changed, so did my focus. I think at the end of the day, I just wanted to live a comfortable and happy life. I will say, for a long time I wanted to live in a big city like NYC. However, living in a home with year-long good weather and being close to family is a much better way to live. Now we just visit cities when we can.
What piece of advice would you give your 10-years younger self?
Here’s a list of companies to invest in and homes to purchase. I would tell that young guy to focus more on work and stop reaching for the sky. I think there’s opportunities I missed out on because I had unrealistic expectations. I would also tell him to travel way more.
What word would you use to describe this chapter of your life?
COVID? I really cannot settle on one word. Plus, how do you really know when the chapter is completed in a book that is still being written?
What’s your favorite quote?
“Do or do not, there is no try” – Yes, I’m a nerd and quoted Star Wars. But we spend so much time thinking and analyzing and not just executing. We tend to hold ourselves back.
Why Home1st?
I was born into it. When you’re apart of something that defines you, you’ll fight forever to keep it going. Home1st is in my blood. However, the biggest thing is having an impact on improving the lives of others. One of the greatest joys of helping run a business is seeing the joy others gain through their growth along side of you.
